Planting Trees and Shrubs at Cissbury

Helping to Establish a Small Woodland on Cissbury Fields

Volunteers Are Welcome To Plant Trees And Shrubs On Cissbury Fields

On Sunday 15th 2023 the Friends of Findon Valley are joining forces with the South Downs Ranger and his volunteers to plant trees and shrubs to bulk up hedgerows and establish a small woodland which is being cleared of Sycamores.

It is all part of increasing the bio diversity of the fields. The hedgerows have grown out after years of not being cut and are becoming woodland forming wildlife corridors across the fields. Planting a range of trees and shrubs helps to create shelter as well as flowers and fruits to benefit birds and butterflies.

Please come along and join us

You are welcome to join us if you are up to shedding that lovely Christmas excess, just meet us at the Storrington Rise car park at 10am on Sunday 15th January 2023
